What's New?  Shop hops, Sweet Tea, Sugar Plums and Turkey Salad!

First of all I want to say that I can’t believe the year is about halfway gone. I really don’t know how this happens. Maybe that’s what they mean when they say life is too short to worry about the small stuff.

Many of you will be shop-hopping during the summer and we hope you have a ton of fun.  You might just see some of our products in shop giveaways. You might even win one, who knows?

June’s new quilt is called Sweet Tea. What else should we sip when it is so hot outside? We made the quilt from Lecien’s latest collection called Flower Sugar. We cut the cups, saucers and border around the teapot from a border print in this line. It was really fun to work with. The pattern is available now and retails for 8.99. Quilt measures 57” x 57”, table size

Occasionally we feature a quilt by another pattern designer. This time it is Mary at Mary’s Cottage quilts.  The quilt was designed by her daughter and is a small and simple pieced quilt made from Bubblegum Basics. Just perfect for those of you who need something fast! We have the patterns and kits available for you. The pattern retails for 7.99. The finished quilt is 49” x 49”. We bundled a fat quarter stacks and the sashing and binding fabrics into a kit. The kit is 79.99.

Our new quilts will be at Quilter's Haven in Bountiful, Utah for the Wasatch Front Shop Hop June 17-20. Shops will have extended hours for the event. They are Weds-Fri 9 am- 8pm and Sat 9am-6pm. Good luck to everyone who participates.

Our mystery block of the month quilt program will begin in September. The program will run for 6 months and likely cost about 20.00/month. The quilt will be made from Bubblgeum Basics. If you are interested in participating, send us an email and we will add your name to the list. We plan to send a mailer as soon as we have the complete information ready to go!

Many of you have promised to send me your best soup recipe and I am still waiting (my foot is tapping while I am saying this). In the meantime, I think we should try something cool and refreshing like a salad. How about a turkey apple salad with raspberry vinaigrette? This one is diet friendly and comes from Weight Watchers.
